Serving lawn care and landscaping crews in all 50 states

IRS Authorized e-File Provider

You cut grass six months a year. Your lawn care tax bill shouldn't run twelve.

We are an accounting firm built for one trade: lawn care and landscaping. Seasonal cash flow, zero-turn depreciation, crew payroll, snow-season swings, and the write-offs a generalist CPA has never heard of.

  • Flat monthly fees
  • Enrolled Agent on staff
  • Built for Jobber, LMN & Aspire data
  • Seasonal cash-flow specialists

100%Bonus depreciation on qualifying equipment

Federal figures under current law. Section 179 limits are indexed each year, and every one of these depends on your entity type, income, and state — which is exactly the work. We confirm each against your actual return before relying on it.

The problem

Your CPA doesn't know lawn care.

A generalist CPA files your return the same way they file a dentist's. That is how landscapers end up funding an IRS bill in February with money that should have bought a mower in October.

Equipment buys are timed by feel

A zero-turn, a skid steer, and a dump trailer each have different depreciation treatment. Buying in January instead of December — or the reverse — can swing your bill by five figures. That call should be made with a projection, not a hunch.

Seasonality wrecks your estimates

Even quarterly estimates on a business that earns 70% of its revenue between April and September means overpaying in spring and scrambling in winter. Estimates should follow your season, not the calendar.

Crew labor is a classification minefield

Day labor, seasonal crews, H-2B workers, and the guy who brings his own mower are four different tax situations. Getting them wrong invites a state audit and back payroll tax.

Fuel, fertilizer, and materials get lumped

Fertilizer, seed, mulch, and sod bought for a job are cost of goods. Sitting in the yard at year end, they are inventory. One number for 'supplies' hides both your margin and your deduction.

Off-season income is untracked

Snow removal, holiday lighting, and leaf cleanup carry their own equipment, margins, and sometimes their own sales tax treatment. Rolled into one revenue line, you cannot tell which season is actually paying you.

You are still a sole proprietor at $500k

Every dollar of profit is hitting self-employment tax. An S-Corp election with a defensible reasonable salary usually pays for our entire fee in the first quarter.

What we do

Four services. One lawn care specialist.

Everything a lawn care operator needs to stay compliant, stay profitable, and stop overpaying — under one roof.

Tax Planning

Proactive, quarterly, and built around a season. We tell you in October what to do — while there is still time to do it.

  • S-Corp election analysis and reasonable-salary support
  • Section 179 and bonus depreciation timing on mowers and trucks
  • Equipment buy vs. lease vs. finance modeling
  • Retirement plan design — Solo 401(k), SEP, and cash balance
  • Estimates that follow your season instead of fighting it
  • Multi-state planning as crews cross state lines

Tax Preparation

Federal, state, and local returns filed accurately and on time — for the business and for you personally, coordinated so nothing falls between them.

  • 1120-S, 1065, 1120, and Schedule C returns
  • Personal 1040s coordinated with the business return
  • Multi-state filings and apportionment for cross-border crews
  • Fixed asset schedules and depreciation rebuilt correctly
  • 1099-NEC and W-2 filings for subs and seasonal crews
  • Prior-year amendments when we find missed deductions

Accounting & Bookkeeping

Monthly books closed by people who know what a pallet of sod costs and how a prepaid annual maintenance contract should hit the ledger.

  • Monthly close with a landscaping chart of accounts
  • Jobber, LMN, Aspire, and Service Autopilot reconciled to the bank
  • Job costing by property, crew, and service line
  • Materials and inventory tracking
  • Payroll processing and sales tax filings
  • Clean financials your lender or buyer will actually accept

Business Setup

Starting a lawn care company, or finally structuring the one you have been running out of a truck? We handle the entity, the paperwork, and the accounts in one pass.

  • LLC, S-Corp, or partnership — chosen on the numbers, not habit
  • EIN, operating agreement, and state registration
  • Pesticide applicator and contractor licensing guidance by state
  • Payroll, bookkeeping, and business banking stood up day one
  • Registration in every state your crews work
  • Buy-sell and route acquisition structuring

Money on the table

The lawn care write-offs your last accountant never asked about.

These are the line items we find missing on almost every landscaping return that walks through the door. Each one is ordinary, necessary, and defensible — it just requires someone who knows the trade.

Find My Missed Deductions
  • Zero-turns, stand-ons, and walk-behinds under Section 179
  • Trucks, dump trailers, and enclosed trailers
  • Skid steers, mini excavators, and attachments
  • Fuel, oil, blades, belts, and small engine repair
  • Fertilizer, seed, mulch, and sod inventory
  • Pesticide applicator licensing, exams, and CEUs
  • Storage yard, shop, and equipment lot rent
  • Crew uniforms, boots, gloves, and PPE
  • Jobber, LMN, and Aspire subscriptions
  • Snow plows, spreaders, and salt for the off-season
  • Truck lettering, yard signs, and door hangers
  • Seasonal and H-2B labor costs and recruiting fees
  • Commercial auto and general liability coverage
  • NALP and state association dues

How it works

From first call to filed — in four steps.

1

Free return review

Send last year's return and a recent P&L. We come back with what was missed and roughly what it cost you.

2

Flat quote

One fixed monthly fee covering the services you actually need. No hourly billing, no surprise invoices for phone calls.

3

Cleanup and setup

We rebuild the chart of accounts, fix the depreciation schedule, correct classification issues, and file any elections that need to be made.

4

Seasonal rhythm

Monthly financials, planning calls timed to your season, estimates handled, and a return finished long before the deadline.

Pricing

Flat fees. Quoted up front. No hourly surprises.

Three plans, a short list of add-ons, nothing custom. The plan decides what you get; add-ons only cover more volume, extra filings, or accrual books.

Still stuck? Text us at 623-233-0797 — a real person replies.

Do you only work with lawn care companies?

Lawn care, landscaping, and closely adjacent outdoor trades. That focus is the whole point — we are not learning your business on your dime, and the strategies we run are the ones that repeat across hundreds of seasonal crews.

Can you work with us if we are not local?

Yes. We are fully remote and file in all 50 states. Documents move through a secure portal, meetings happen by video or phone, and you can text your accountant directly.

We are behind on bookkeeping and filings. Is that a problem?

It is the most common way clients arrive. We quote cleanup separately from ongoing work, bring the books current, and get delinquent returns filed. No lectures.

How do you handle a business that makes most of its money in six months?

We build estimates around your actual season, hold reserves during peak months, and plan equipment purchases so deductions land in the year they do the most good. Seasonality is a planning tool, not a problem.

Should my lawn care company be an S-Corp?

Usually once net profit clears roughly $60k–$80k, but it depends on payroll, owner count, state, and whether you are about to buy equipment. We run the actual numbers for your business before recommending it.

What does it cost and how do you bill?

One flat monthly fee, quoted before you sign anything, based on transaction volume, entity count, and payroll headcount. Calls, texts, and questions are included — you will never get an invoice for asking us something.
